Thai Latex Association (TLA) Annual Dinner 2023

IRCo was invited and attended the TLA Annual Dinner 2023 on 25 March 2023 at Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel, Hat Yai, Thailand. The event was aimed at bringing closer collaboration in the areas of concentrated latex (LC) production, export and trade among key players from both the public and private sectors, such as Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT), Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA), and LC manufacturers and exporters in Thailand.

Thailand is the largest LC producer. In 2022, Thailand produced 930,000 tons of LC, followed by China (124,000 tons) and India (110,000 tons). Over 660,000 tons of LC was exported from Thailand in 2022. The largest LC-consuming country is China, who consumed 520,000 tons of LC in 2022, followed by Malaysia (367,000 tons) and Thailand (226,000 tons).

Rubber gloves gained tremendous interest during the Covid-19 pandemic. As the global economy is currently transitioning to the post-Covid era, consumption in the LC sector remains robust, and the industry is expected to maintain its importance and momentum.
