Jakarta, Indonesia, 14 April 2026.

Mr. Djatmiko Bris Witjaksono, Director General of International Trade Negotiations at the Ministry of Trade of Indonesia and Head of the National Tripartite Rubber Corporation (NTRC) of Indonesia, welcomed Ms. Paphatchaya to Jakarta and congratulated her on her appointment as Chief Executive Officer of the International Rubber Consortium Organization (IRCo). He acknowledged the challenges currently facing the organization while emphasizing the importance of maintaining its operations. He also highlighted the need for IRCo to adopt a more business-oriented approach, suggesting the initiation of trading activities as a practical first step.

The CEO outlined upcoming programs and activities for 2026, including participation in an exhibition, the organization of seminars, and potential collaboration with key stakeholders in the rubber industry.

Mr. Djatmiko reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to supporting IRCo’s activities and long-term sustainability. Both parties shared a common vision of transforming IRCo into a more business-driven entity by exploring alternative business models and leveraging voluntary expertise from member countries to strengthen the organization’s operations.
