IRCo participated in the Gabungan Perusahaan Karet Indonesia (GAPKINDO) Annual Dinner on 21 August 2026 in Bali, Indonesia. The event provided a valuable platform for strengthening networking and fostering closer collaboration among key stakeholders and market players in the regional natural rubber industry.
During the event, IRCo and GAPKINDO exchanged views and discussed various initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of rubber smallholders and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the natural rubber sector. A key concern raised was the continued decline in Indonesia’s natural rubber production, as some smallholders increasingly shift to alternative crops or sources of income.
Both parties shared the view that maintaining the attractiveness and competitiveness of natural rubber as a remunerative and sustainable source of income for smallholders is essential to securing the long-term future and resilience of the natural rubber industry.
