Thailand as the largest producers of natural rubber (NR) have been implementing para-soil cement road project during the period from December 2018 – September 2019. The objective of this project is to increase NR domestic consumption as an effort to stabilise improve NR prices to be fair and remunerative to all rubber smallholders and other stakeholders in NR industry.
Under this project, around 75,032 villages throughout the Country are involved and at least 1 kilometre of such rubber-mixed road will be constructed in each village.
This project will consume almost 1.44 million MT of field latex which is equivalent to 480,000 MT of dry rubber, while 1 kilometre of para-soil cement road will use approximately 12 – 19 MT of field latex.
