Field latex is collected from rubber tree by tapping cut. The rubber trees drip latex for about four hours. Then, it will be stopped as latex coagulates naturally on the tapping cut. The latex thus tubes into a block. Tappers usually rest and have a meal after finishing their tapping work, then start collecting the liquid “field latex” at about midday.
