Thailand Uprooted Its 1 Million Rai of Rubber Plantation To Further Support And Improve Natural Rubber (NR) Prices

Mr. Amnuay Patise, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperative of Thailand said that currently Thailand had uprooted 1 million rai (160,000 hectares) of NR plantation. As a result, NR production of Thailand is estimated to decrease from 4.4 million MT (previous estimates) to 3.9 million MT in 2015.
The reduction of NR production in Thailand will further support the improvement of NR prices in major physical and futures markets for this year.
